| ------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Address**   | `https://api.hanzo.ai/v1/provider/github/repos/import` |
| **Method**    | `POST`                                                 |
| **Operation** | `post_provider_github_repos_import`                    |
| **Auth**      | `Authorization: Bearer $HANZO_API_KEY`                 |

Imports the selected (or all) granted repos into git.hanzo.ai. The
selection is intersected with the installation's GRANTED set, so a client can
never import a repo the App was not granted (org isolation + a grant check). The
import runs in a bounded background worker (don't block the request), so the
answer is 202 Accepted; poll GET /v1/git/repos for each repository to appear
on git.hanzo.ai.

## Request

2 fields, body `application/json` (required).

| Field   | In   | Type      | Required | Description                                                                                                                               |
| ------- | ---- | --------- | -------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `all` | body | boolean | — | All imports every repository the installation grants, instead of naming them. |
| `repos` | body | string\[] | —        | Repos names the repositories to import, either owner-qualified ("hanzo-apps/ai") or as a bare name ("ai"); a trailing ".git" is stripped. |

## Response

| Status    | Body                     | Meaning  |
| --------- | ------------------------ | -------- |
| `202`     | provider.githubImportOut | accepted |
| `default` | problem-details          | refused  |

`202` body — 3 fields.

| Field       | In   | Type            | Always | Description                                                                                                                  |
| ----------- | ---- | --------------- | ------ | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `codebases` | body | string\[] | — | Codebases are the names they take in the org's code workspace, in the same order: poll GET /v1/git/repos for each to appear. |
| `queued`    | body | integer (int64) | —      | Queued is how many repositories were handed to the background importer.                                                      |
| `repos`     | body | string\[]       | —      | Repos names those repositories, in the installation's listing order.                                                         |

Failure carries the platform error shape — see [Errors](https://docs.hanzo.ai/docs/errors).

## Examples

**CLI**

```bash
hanzo provider github repos import
```

**SDK**

**.ts**

```ts
import { Configuration, ProviderApi } from 'hanzoai';
const api = new ProviderApi(new Configuration({ accessToken: process.env.HANZO_API_KEY }));
const { data } = await api.postProviderGithubReposImport({ all: false, repos: ["<repos>"] });
```

**.py**

```python
from hanzoai.cloud import ApiClient, Configuration
from hanzoai.cloud.api import ProviderApi
client = ApiClient(Configuration(access_token=os.environ["HANZO_API_KEY"]))
result = ProviderApi(client).post_provider_github_repos_import(all=False, repos=["<repos>"])
```

**.go**

```go
cfg := hanzoai.NewConfiguration()
cfg.AddDefaultHeader("Authorization", "Bearer "+os.Getenv("HANZO_API_KEY"))
client := hanzoai.NewAPIClient(cfg)
resp, _, err := client.ProviderAPI.PostProviderGithubReposImport(context.Background()).Execute()
if err != nil {
	return err
}
```

**.rs**

```rust
use hanzo_client::apis::{configuration::Configuration, provider_api};
let mut cfg = Configuration::new();
cfg.bearer_access_token = std::env::var("HANZO_API_KEY").ok();
let result = provider_api::post_provider_github_repos_import(&cfg, Default::default()).await?;
```

**.java**

```java
import ai.hanzo.cloud.ApiClient;
import ai.hanzo.cloud.api.ProviderApi;
ApiClient client = new ApiClient();
client.setBearerToken(System.getenv("HANZO_API_KEY"));
var result = new ProviderApi(client).postProviderGithubReposImport();
```

**HTTP**

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.hanzo.ai/v1/provider/github/repos/import \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $HANZO_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
       "all": false,
       "repos": [
         "<repos>"
       ]
     }'
```

**MCP**

MCP reaches **provider** through the `provider` tool, which names its 38 operations with its own verbs — this one among them, under a name only MCP declares. `describe` explains any of them:

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.hanzo.ai/v1/mcp \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{
       "jsonrpc": "2.0",
       "id": 1,
       "method": "tools/call",
       "params": {
         "name": "describe",
         "arguments": {
           "op": "list_connections"
         }
       }
     }'
```
