Hanzo

Docs & Office

Hanzo in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Google Workspace, and PDF — draft, summarize, and edit documents in place.

Docs & Office

Draft, summarize, rewrite, and analyze documents where they already live — Microsoft Office, Outlook, Google Workspace, and PDFs.

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

A task-pane add-in that reads and edits the open document — draft copy, summarize a sheet, rewrite a slide.

Install (sideload the manifest)

  1. Download and unzip the Office asset; it contains a manifest.xml.
  2. Put the manifest on a trusted catalog:
    • Windows — a shared folder set as a Trusted Add-in Catalog (File → Options → Trust Center → Trusted Add-in Catalogs).
    • macOS — copy it to ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.<app>/Data/Documents/wef.
    • WebInsert → Add-ins → Upload My Add-in and pick manifest.xml.
  3. In Word, Excel, or PowerPoint: Insert → Add-ins → My Add-ins → Hanzo.

Outlook

Draft replies, summarize threads, and extract action items from the reading pane.

Install — unzip, then Get Add-ins → My add-ins → Add a custom add-in → Add from file and select the manifest.xml.

Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail)

Draft, summarize, and edit across Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail — no download; connect over OAuth.

Connect — open the console, pick Google Workspace, and authorize with your Google account. Hanzo then appears in the Workspace side panel across Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.

PDF

Summarize, query, and extract structured data from PDFs at pdf.hanzo.ai — sign in with Hanzo and drop in a file.

Newest installers are always on the latest release.

One identity, everywhere. Sign in with Hanzo (IAM OAuth) or paste a hk- API key. The same credential works in every Hanzo surface — see Integrations & Extensions.
